Your City of South Charleston Employee Health Clinic provides comprehensive acute and primary care services much like an urgent care or family physician office for those city employees, their dependents and retirees on the health plan.

Primary Care/Family Care services include:
Annual physicals
including adult and child (3 years and older) physicals, school or sports-related physicals, as well as vision screenings.
Chronic disease management
for conditions such as high blood pressure, cholesterol management, ulcers, anxiety, and other conditions.
Proactive health maintenance
encouragement and coaching, such as diet, exercise, smoking cessation, and stress management.
Medications dispensed
at time of visit for most conditions.
Acute care visits
for new-onset, non-life-threatening medical needs, such as sprains and strains, cold and flu symptoms, and anything you might use an urgent care center to treat.
Immunizations
routine immunizations and seasonal flu vaccine.
All necessary lab services
will be provided at the Employee Health Clinic during normal clinic hours. If you have a lab order from an outside physician or other provider, please keep in mind you can have these completed at the Employee Health Clinic . Your lab results will be sent to the ordering provider. We will have on-site testing for some conditions, such as blood glucose, flu, and strep.

Saving you money.
The clinic will be available for all eligible City of South Charleston employees, their dependents, and retirees on the health plan. There are no co-pays or cost for medications available through the clinic formulary. We carry a variety of acute care and chronic medications that can be dispensed to you immediately following a visit. If a medication is not on your formulary, our providers can still prescribe them to a pharmacy of your choice, but your insurance would be billed for those non-approved medications.

Visits to your Employee Health Clinic are completely confidential and protected by the same HIPAA standards as all community primary care offices.
